After HD TV, it's hard to go back. I have a really nice 32 inch Wega that I loved when I first got out of college. It was my first big purchase. I dropped over $1000 on it and it was totally worth it. Now it sits upstairs, mostly unused. I've moved on to bigger and better things.
And by things, I mean HD TVs.
I mean, I've always loved a good PBS/Nature/Science special, but with the magic of HD, it makes images on the screen seem breathtakingly vivid.
I just plopped on the TV and lost an hour watching a special on the Smithsonian Channel in HD. The special was about the search for giant anacondas. Like 25+ feet long. Of course the snakes looked huge, scale-y, and alive.
Of course, this kind of backfires when watching the Food Channel in HD. It's so hard to not feel hungry when faced with the sumptuous feasts that they produce in decadence.
