Weddings are in the air!
Several college friends have gotten engaged and/or married in the last few months. My little sister is also getting married.
One of my gifts to my sister was her wedding website. I created it using Drupal, so it has way more features than she really needs, but I'm used to working with it. I set up a RSVP area for people to respond to their invitations via the internet. It's a simple form, but hopefully she can use it to keep track of those people, get their emails if she has questions, and also update her RSVP numbers fast.
This week is a bit of a wedding week (again). The past weekend was spent doing invite stuff. I'm also in charge of finding SILVER RAG PAPER. I just googled that term and found a bunch of photo-centric sites. I don't think that is what he meant since the idea is to RIP STRIPS to wrap around the invites.
So I'm off to find a paper sourcing store some where around here.
As I think about it, I need about 50 or less sheets to get the strips. Probably less. if the strips are around 1.25 inches, that's about 6 strips that I can get from an 8.5x11 inch piece. so that's less than 46 sheets, adding extra strips just in case.
Once I find this paper, we will tear it artfully for the invites.
Truthfully, I'm not really good at arts and crafts. I like to focus my artistic skill into more edible creations. I'm also not very graceful, so I tend to mess things up. I better get extra sheets, huh? I might rip these things wrong. I hate to be the one to make the invites look off.
Hm, maybe they can put me in as the person stuffing the envelopes.
