For my 32nd birthday, I took advantage of the free day at Disneyland. Angeline, one of my sisters, was so aghast that I was thinking of going alone that she decided to join me on my adventure.
She took the day off and joined me on an adventure in the Magic Kingdom. My birthday fell this year fell on a Wednesday and the park was almost empty. I’ve decided that in the future, I must always go to Disneyland in the middle of the week.
I think I went on twice as many rides as I normally do! The first place we went to was Tomorrowland.

Star Wars Show
My sister endured the Astro Orbiter, Star Tours, and Space Mountain in quick succession. As a reprieve, we stopped at the House of Tomorrow (which I guess is sponsored by Microsoft)…. Along the way, we met up with my cousin Ellen and her family and friends who were also visiting Disneyland, which was very nice!
Right before, we saw a bunch of children beat up Darth Vader in the Jedi Academy experience. That, by the way, is freaking awesome. I can only hope that my future children can experience
fighting Vader! We were able to ride some of the revamped rides including the new Submarine Experience with Finding Nemo as well as a family favorite — The Madhatter’s Tea Party ride.
We ended the day early (around 4pm), having gone on a good many rides and continued our adventure with me losing some cards (which sucked, btw).
This weekend, I celebrated my birthday, yet again with my parents and siblings and with a Superbowl party (that included a xmas gift exchange chaser). (Party Pic by Erika Narimatsu)
I can’t say how nice it was to see so many of my LA friends drag themselves out to the sticks for me. I’m so glad that they survived the drive and came.
Of course, being born on the tail end of January, I’ve had most of my childhood birthday parties turned into Superbowl parties. That kind of experience sucks, so I usually don’t like to celebrate with the big game, but when you live 2 hours from the bulk of your friends, only something this big can get them to visit….
We watched the very exciting game, put on 3D glasses at half-time and were entertained, watched a portion of the Puppybowl, exchanged gifts, and played the new Raving Rabbits game.
Ellen celebrates her birthday the day before mine says that she celebrates her special day 3 times. I guess I did this year, too.
So that’s it. My Big 32nd Birthday Bonanza.
Oh, I had a wee accident on Sunday, hence the bandage in the pic above. I can just add it to my memories, I think. Along with that 100 yard touch down. Superbowl XLIII was amazing.
