Sad, Sad News – Mr. Wizard is Gone
How very sad! Although Don Herbert has not been on TV for a while, he influenced a lot of kids in the 80′s and taught us all that science was FUN.
He passed away from bone cancer at 89.
Bye Mr. Wizard. I, for one, will really miss you. I ALMOST became a scientist and shows like Mr. Wizard and Bill Nye: The Science Guy really help introduce children to the world of science.
I wish that there were more shows out there like that on network TV. MythBusters may be fun, but it’s not available to non-cable/dish subscribers.
