Fanime 2006 Announcements & Other things

by ardith

You know, I forget sometimes how lucky I am to work at Broccoli Int’l. I mean, sure my summers are chock full of conventions and I lose my voice trying to speak with all the people who mob our booth, but I really, really enjoy our titles.

We’ve announced our new titles.

  • Disgaea
  • Disgaea Illustration Book
  • Yoki Koto Kiku

Disgaea = uber cute RPG fun.
Yoki Koto Kiku = uber cute black comedy by Koge-Donbo.

And of course KAMUI is still being released.

I’m currently reading it. The story is growing darker and all the more angsty. It’s a bit more complex than Aquarian Age – Juvenile Orion.

I was interviewed recently about my webpage [2 be inserted - link to interview], and one of the questions was why I like manga & anime.

It’s been so long since I’ve thought about it. The reason I love anime & manga, besides the art, is that the stories are great. Not ALL manga is good. Not ALL anime is good. But all I really care about are the stories.

Anyway, I’ve got work to finish. *rubs hands together* And conventions to set up. See you guys at Anime Expo and Comic-Con. They are coming up so soooooon!

Book Expo 2006

by ardith

I got back Sunday night from BEA. We had a lovely booth in the Graphic Novel Pavilion. Too bad the Pavilion was on the far end of the hall and the traffic was a bit sparse. But we did get to meet a lot of interesting people.

Broccoli will be announcing a bunch of titles at Fanime this year, so please keep an ear out for the news. Of course, if you are attending Fanime, please come by. Dietrich will be running the panel!

Oh, and if you didn’t notice, I’m playing with my site again. Hopefully the new look is appealin
